a sampling of
Medora's paintings

Selling her first piece of art at 19 years of age (a drawing of a Chow dog), Medora was already maturing as an artist. Her career actually started earlier — her mother found her as a preschooler making drawings with crayons on her bedroom walls!

By age 31, she was the lone female pilot flying out of the Sunset Beach, California, airport. The attractive and bold young woman was beloved for drawing the other pilots.

She's always had a keen ability to see the "inner subject," and considers capturing this essence more valuable than creating a realistic illusion. Medora considers her specialty "intuitive portraiture," in which she envisions her subjects' past and sometimes future.
