These 20 paintings, all created during 2006, are surprising and personal. Through the art, Medora thoroughly investigates a theme: How do we choose our close friends, and what traits harmonize us with another? The paintings reveal the life of Medora's friend Randy Johnson. Included are glimpses of Johnson's childhood and scenes from his college days and his career in art — at contrasting turns showing Johnson as an elated kid with his first fish, completing a 10K footrace, making paintings, enjoying music, loving his children, and in deadly serious contemplation on the headlands of northern California. Medora says of the work, "It's about finding resonance in my later years — discovering a true friend, and sharing trust, appreciation of the arts, the beauty of the world, and finding the good things in each other."
